SOUL WORK:
The Priestess is the one that Serves and Initiates sacred ritual and community.
Begin with your own body temple. An invitation IN: Each day for the next 2 weeks, do something that honors your body.
Some ideas are: bathing with rose petals, lavender salts, fragrant oils, use of nourishing lotions, extra rest and sleep, paying attention to healthier foods, or indulging in dark chocolate and scented flowers to waken your senses, get a pedicure, deep condition your hair, take an hour to sit in nature or go for a walk, receive a massage, listen to some music that caresses your soul, allow yourself to be nourished in making love…..
Allow Her to inform your entire BEing. What does it FEEL like to embody Her?
Our relationship with the sacred, with Love Itself is the relationship we are healing. Once we allow Love to enter us in all ways, we realize the sacred in our everyday life, and cannot help but share it with others.

CREATIVE PRACTICE:
We can practice with the basic form of the body to become familiar with the female structure. We are not attempting too much detail, but are learning enough to paint the silhouette with simple step-by-step instructions. Practice a few rounds with this exercise until you become comfortable with placement. Once you understand the proportions, it’s easy to add clothing or abstract marks.
Next, on paper, do a sketch and add simple contouring using lights, mediums and darks that you learned from the basic course: darks on the outer most edges and where the deepest shadows are, light on the most forward parts, and mediums in between. Stay loose. Get curvy. Have fun. As you paint, be aware of your feelings about your own body, and practice bringing all the love you can to yourself….you are a sacred vessel.
